- Unite all soyabean processors, marketers and exporters across the 36 states and the FCT under one platform.
- Maintain a credible national database of SPMEAN members for government and buyer engagement.
- Protect members from exploitation by middlemen, fake buyers and poor policies.
- Promote improved seeds, mechanization and agronomic practices in collaboration with IITA, FMARD and research institutes.
- Ensure all SPMEAN members comply with SON, NAFDAC and NEPC quality standards for local and export markets.
- Reduce post harvest losses through training and provision of modern storage facilities.
- Encourage local processing of soyabeans into oil, cake, flour, milk and other by products, to stop raw export.
- Facilitate member access to CBN, BOA, BOI and grant funding for setting up processing plants.
- Advocate for policies that protect local processors from importation of soya cake and oil.
- Link members to local off takers, feed millers and international buyers in China, Vietnam, the European Union and Africa.
- Serve as the official liaison between government agencies, NEPC, FMARD, CBN, and the soya value chain.
- Brand and promote Made in Nigeria soyabeans and soya products in global markets.
- Engage government on policies, incentives, export grants and infrastructure for the soyabeans industry.
- Convene research, training, workshops and exhibitions for capacity building of members.
- Promote peace, ethics and unity among members and prevent parallel leadership.
